🏑 Description

Big pretty mover with a personality that is as big as he is! Great opportunity to get ready for your 2021 show season, he brings home the ribbons! Great Christmas present too!! I am an amateur that has trained him. I’ve had him since he was 2. The only reason I am selling is I have another young horse that needs to be started. I don’t have time for two horses. I am not in a hurry to sell. I would love to see him continue showing and will be patient for the correct owner. He is a horse that loves people and attention. We have shown in the open and been competitive! Gus Gus has great ground manners, could easily do showmanship just was never my thing. He is not turn key yet for a beginner, he does need a confident rider or someone working with a trainer. They would love for him to stay where he is. Young, devoted trainer at my barn would love nothing more than to show him and train if someone is interested in keeping him where he is at. LOVES working cattle, I have done a little ranch roping off him, started recently jumping him w my western saddle when jumps are set up at the barn…he loves that too. Young trainer at our barn just started jumping correctly to see what he would do and he did great, have a video. Gus Gus is very talented and can easily go just about any direction you ask him to. I have shown him in working western classes – trail (amateur & open), ranch (open & amateur), reined cow, working cow, herd work (amateur & open), English trail (open & amateur) & reining. He is the definition of an all around horse. I ride him out in the pasture but have not trail ridden him. He has been to US Nationals twice. Now a 2x national champion in working cowhorse, & reined cowhorse. Top 10 in amateur & open herd work, top 10 in amateur & open ranch, top 10 in trail, AATR & AAOTR. Several Champion, reserve champion & top 10’s in region 4 & 5 his junior year and current show year. Opportunities are endless with this guy and he wants to be everyone’s best friend, horse or human. He always manages to know where the camera is at shows, no shortage of photos in the warm up arena.
