🏑 Description

Over 450 acres of unique and historic woodland and ponds. There are no blazed trails, but well kept old cart paths and many informational signs make for a lovely walk. The trails are maintained by volunteers lead by Roger and Gail Greene. Historic photos, maps and information about the original uses of the property are strategically placed. Boards with notes on the flora and fauna, and kid friendly plaques abound. The main pond, Simmons, is stocked with trout each spring. The smaller ponds are good for fresh water fishing as well. Very limited boat access is available on Colebrook Road at the point where the stream enters. Blaze Orange is required during certain times of year, and donated vests for you and your dog are placed at the parking lot entrance.
