Based in Austin, Texas, Matt passed the Texas real estate licensing exams at 17 and began practicing shortly after turning 18. He went on to manage the real estate portfolios of seven investor families in Austin before being recruited by a California-based CPG venture firm, where he spent five years. Drawn back to his roots in technology, he began investing in blockchain, crypto, and Web3 projects in 2016, backing more than 30 ventures to date.

Matt is an entrepreneur, investor, and operator specializing in financial innovation and emerging technologies. After spotting a gap for native DeFi products across specific ecosystems and chains, he Co-Founded Hologram Holdings, a blockchain venture studio that launched multiple products, two of which were sold back to the blockchains they were built for. His work spans:
